Welcome 2021! Happy New Year Everyone! From RWC
As we leave the era of the interesting events of 2020 (to say the least), we can acknowledge that this year has taught us some valuable life lessons that could be brought in the new year as positive. What was your lesson? At RWC we learned no matter how life takes us on a spin, we will always find a way to adjust to it.

Meet Belinda, our Womens Employment Resource Centre staff at RWC. Belinda has been with us since 2016 and has worked in various departments that required in-person support with clients and planning social programs. Since COVID-19 staff had to adjust their work life and family life, which had some challenges along the way before adjusting. We asked Belinda what her experience was like and she said; Working from home has its challenges but has taught me how to multitask, bein...g a full-time teacher, daycare assistant and Employment counsellor. I now rely solely on technology to provide services to my clients, such as; resume building, Job searching, help with Employment Insurance applications and applying for a work permit virtually. Although we are in unfortunate times, working from home allowed me to spend more time with my children which is a plus! My two-year-old loves to be apart of my work experience, though he does not comprehend I am working and not playing. Some times he is my secretary, as he loves to be the one to hand over the phone to me when it rings even though I am at arms reach. Having the opportunity to spend time with my children, I would not trade this for anything. See more
