Official Sappyfest Near and Far artists Della and Theo Crocker have designed this sweetest and sappiest T-shirt as reminder and memento of all the things that h...ave happened and all the things that haven’t. "The greatest thing about Sappyfest" T-shirt is available from the merch-table: http://www.sappyfest.com/merch-table PLEASE NOTE: we are going to do our very best to get these shipped before Sappy weekend, but please be understanding in case of delays! Full text: Loud music playing people gathered in a big white then the sun shinning bright different food trucks lined up the street. People walking up and down sidewalks and meeting at the black duck cafe. People laughing and children running around. At night the air cools and the stars shine as tired bodies walk home to rest and recharge. The sun peeks up from behind the trees and the birds fly across the sky you walk down the stairs and eat a nourishing breakfast. Another day of seeing friends and saying goodbye to friends and having lots of creative energy around you. Go over to the zine fair and buy some comics or prints. Go back to the tent and listen for a bit. Get some poutine and milkshakes at Mel’s, then go home and chill. The neon lights all over the stage, people dancing, and knowing everything is fine in that moment. And everyone is happy and tired and their day has been fulfilled. The greatest thing about sappyfest is sappyfest and I am sad we can not have it this year.

Last year we got to work on a print project with Karalyn. She is an incredibly talented artist. Give her talk a listen. A voice worth hearing.

"Our elders tell us of people who are gifted among all beings because they carried Two Spirits; that of Male and of Female. It was told that there were Women wh...o married other Women as well as Men who married other Men. These individuals were looked upon as a third gender and they were honored and respected as fundamental components of our ancient culture. Unfortunately, due to colonizing forces and influences, Two Spirit people have been lost in our consciousnesses..." - Doe of 2 Spirited People of the 1st Nations Featuring @adstevens and @seanqsnyder.
