Thanks to community advocate Lara Rae for her words about different solutions. This articles makes you think about what we can do. We must listen to the homeless and frontline workers for government policy directions.

Participated in a story telling session with Elder Winston Wuttunee at the Clifton Wuttunee School. Discussed the battle of batoche, metis history, first nation warriors, and a little politics. We even sang a sound delayed song.

Great to hear no one was hurt in the recent fire in the WestEnd. The city of Winnipeg needs to make sure that homes do not remain abandoned for more than a month. There are lots of people looking for a place to live. We collectively worked to get $70 million in federal funding for EndHomeLessness Winnipeg. We all want to help make our community better. This money could be put to use to make sure people have a place to call home. This is a security & safety issue for our neighborhoods. https://www.cbc.ca//simcoe-street-fire-winnipeg-ice-1.5904

Today is a day of courage, a day when the sun walks carrying fire. Head outside and enjoy and day to clear your thoughts. That is what the Cree call a Sun Dog.

I just wanted to thank the Phillippe’s presidential advisor Marie Rafael for coming to Winnipeg and help celebrate the Indigenous people of the Philippines who call Canada home. The BIBAK association taught me so much, I really enjoyed learning the Eagle Dance and learning how your education system works to lift people up. Thanks Marian Angel V Gayot for all your hard work.
