After working 10 years as an engineer, Eric Ibey decided to travel the world and pursue creative writing as well as personal and professional development. In 2016, he started a blog called "The Year of Fear," where he would face a personal fear of his every month for one yeaer. By intentionally facing his fears, he has learned that we can better prepare ourselves to deal with unexpected challenges life will inevitably throw at us. Come next Thursday after school to hear Eric's TED Talk, "Building Resilience THrough Intentionally Facing Your Fears."

As a former partner in an investment bank, Sofiane Belgadi was able to fundraise over 200 million euros. Currently, he is a partner in an international VC fund dedicated to artificial intelligence and robotics. However, life wasn't always filled with success for Sofiane. He was born in Algeria during the dark period of terrorism. His talk, "How to Succeed when Everything is Playing Against You," details how life can start in an unfair way, but how you are able to take the reins of your destiny. Scott Ste.Marie is a motivational speaker, YouTuber, and podcast host. He is also the founder of Depression to Expression and has been speaking openly about positive mental health since 2012. His talk centres around the idea and focus of happiness in our society and why our constant pursuit of it is in the complete opposite direction of creating a legacy. Come December 5th to the TEDxLegacy event to learn more about his talk, "Why Mental Health Awareness Isn't Working."
