Who knew a winter wedding could look so warm... the beautiful Marcie and Eric. Making a snowy day look utterly romantic.
I’m happy to share I’m back from taking a small break from blogging (guys there’s a lot to get through!) and kick it off with this awesome session with Tracy and Jim. This one is coming at you all from 2019, don’t judge I just said there’s a lot. Never the less I’m sharing it now and I’m excited! This location is a dream! If you’re from Alberta and have never been, mark it down on your list of things to do next summer and go! Tucked away near Nordegg is Crescent Falls, it’s easy enough to get to. But the real treat is that it looks, possibly, a lot more difficult to find. Check out Tracy and Jim's engagement session over on today's featured post!

This pop of red that Kaylie is wearing is - chef’s kiss* haha Please tell me you all mimicked that motion! Kaylie & Chase at Moraine Lake
Okay, guys buckle up, this is a big topic. It can often be a confusing and complicated situation for many brides and grooms. You’ve just really started to sit down and start planning your wedding. You’ve found the venue, which is often the biggest piece of the puzzle. The venue sets your scene, more often than not your vibe, and your wedding date. If you’re lucky the venue will also tick off food and beverage from your list, so what’s the next big thing?... For most people its the photographer. But with so many options out there how do you choose the right photographer for you? How do you know you can trust this person with your family’s memories? Read all about it over on today’s blog post. My opinion, advice and tips :) I hope you all enjoy it and find it helpful
I loved this sweet little family session with the Drozak- Chochula family from Sunday Lindsey & Mark we’re past wedding clients of mine and now they have sweet little baby Sophie. The fall colours were out in there full force for us and I love this image so much. Happy to share this preview of our session from this weekend!
I did a lot of sessions on the weekend! It’s that time of year friends, fall family photos! I’m happy I got to meet up and capture the Yeung family on Saturday! Little backstory, we were supposed to do a big extended family session months ago! But then covid happened figures. So we had to cancel. Luckily they sent me an email a few weeks ago and asked if we could just do the 5 of them. Maybe at some point in the future we can get the whole gang together, but in the meantime... I’m happy I got to photograph them in some capacity! Here’s a little preview of our session
Julia and Robert’s Old Timers Cabin wedding is making the list of one of the best weddings with some of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met! I should have guessed that right off the bat when I initially met Julia and Robert a few years ago, but being around them all-day really sealed the deal for me. I’m not even sure where to start when explaining how wonderful this day was. Everything moved along so smoothly, you could tell that Julia and Robert really put the eff...ort in to make their day go off without any hiccups! I was so happy, they trusted me with so much! I know that you guys only wanna see couples and the weddings that I shoot but I still love shooting portraits, because, I love people! Here’s Allie from a few years back and because I know lots of you will ask, she’s holding a baritone saxophone. And ain’t it pretty?! P.S. I user to play the baritone Sax
I wish I had time to do some food photography and styling again it was a fun creative and personal project for myself.
Who knew the side of a road could be so alluring and magical here’s to Nicola & Nick!
Here is a session I did with the Dixieland Jazz Society Band a little while ago. Joel called me up and set a plan in motion to get some new photographs done. Originally we were planning on going to MacEwan and using the new Allard Hall for our backdrop. But we forgot the school was closed. Luckily the Creative Hive came through for us! I adore this little space so much, bright, clean and on the west side on Edmonton, it’s the perfect industrial looking studio. I took a few individual headshots of the guys and I personally loved the way they turned out. I’ve talked about it many times before but I really enjoy photographing musicians. We wrapped up with some band/ group photos and they even played a little for me. Check out more of the session over on my blog!
Brittany and Matt. In the woods of the jasper park lodge. Hold her tight and keep her warm
Just a couple of love bugs!
Dreamy and snowy that’s just the way we wanted it! I’m sharing Sydney & Colin’s engagement session all the way from The Peg. If you don’t know what that is then you’re not cool like us! I’m kidding, my people who are familiar with Manitoba know! Wink wink* good old Winnipeg guys! I flew here one winter ago and met up these two for their session at The Forks. We obviously had a lot of fun, it's always a treat for me to shoot somewhere different than my home city. So check out Sydney and Colin's session over on my blog!
So many beautiful flowers were put in bloom for Chariti and Matt’s engagement session! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the garden so full before! And I’ve been here lots! Such a treat.
Crazy to me that I only shot one wedding this summer! That didn’t even happen to me the first summer that I started photographing weddings! But if I only got to capture one, I’m so happy it was Erika & Jeff’s
