Meet Linda! Read below to learn more about our new student counsellor! . Life can be a struggle sometimes, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to turn to next. . I have been there and know- The Struggle Is Real.... . There was a period of time I felt stuck with no sense of purpose. My negative thought cycles ruled my emotions. Without knowing where to turn, I stuffed my feelings as far down as they could go. . It took lots of hard work and dedication, as well as the humility to ask for support but in that, I was able to create a new path for myself to follow. . Simply put, I learned to love myself. . I work with people who share similar or varying stories from all walks of life. I am informed in the areas of grief, loss, trauma, addiction and self-esteem issues. . Using my skills in Somatic Therapy, CBT, DBT & Narrative Therapy, I work with you to create a safe and accepting space where you are able to share what you are going through, with no judgement. . Meet Bobbie-Raechelle (she/her). She is one of our new counsellor at our student clinic! . Learn more about her below! .... In my life I've done a very good job at accumulating stories, experiences and traumas into what I refer to as my backpack. This backpack of mine quickly became heavy, a weight that I could no longer bear alone. I had to overcome another struggle, I didn’t want to talk about it. That’s when I was introduced to movement. Through movement, I found my strength and voice to be able to trust the person in front of me and to finally begin unpacking. My name is Bobbie-Raechelle and my work is combining Somatics, Therapeutic Yoga and Counselling. Approaching wellness in a holistic, trauma informed way linking together top-down and bottom-up methods. Co-creating sessions where we design a program that incorporates your body, mind and soul. My vision is to hold space for clients to uncover the roots of the misery. It is the human condition to suffer. A reality that can at times, be difficult to navigate through alone. I strive to hold space for a client to process, accept and move through trauma, hardship, mental health and everyday life circumstances. Fostering a co-creative environment for clients to unearth what's coming up for them and to offer tools on how to shorten that time period of suffering, so they can continue to show up as their true, authentic selves.
