275lbs Incline Bench Press . Worked my way up slowly to a 1RM. Felt great honestly. No pains or issues, which is always nice . Now I'll drop the weight to around 80% of that and go for 4 working sets. ... . Gaining strength on bench press has been my goal for a while, main reasoning is my chin up is "too strong" compared to my bench. This goal has slowed down slightly because of the 2nd shutdown, but I've still been training 4-5x per week. Difference is more of my training days have been hypertrophy based and less strength based. Things that are so obvious that we don't need to be reminded: 1 - Your salary won't just jump 10fold from one day to the next 2 - You won't suddenly be amazing at playing guitar from playing it a couple of times 3 - One stroke of your paintbrush isn't enough to paint a room... 4 - A lifelong friendship isn't built from one day of fun 5 - Your food isn't ready just because you turned on the stove 6 - Building a shed takes more than one whack of your hammer 7 - Writing an essay takes more than an introduction 8 - You don't go from not knowing math to studying calculus Of course we know this. It's just logic! Imagine teaching a kid in grade 1 how to solve derivatives and differential equations Yet when it comes to fat-loss, for some reason, people think differently. They see this task as one huge mountain they have to leap over, all in one shot. But guess what? That's not how that works. Just like all of my previous examples... these things take TIME. It's the SMALL steps, the SMALL progressions that make the most difference. Create small habits that together will be an unrivaled force in your quest to lose fat. Here are some easy examples you can incorporate into your life RIGHT NOW to start seeing some changes. 1) Drink more water. You'd be surprised how much this can impact fat loss. It's honestly a mini cheat-code. 2) Your last meal should ideally be not less than 2 hours before you go to sleep. Sleep at 11? Do not put anything into your mouth past 9pm. 3) Daily walks. 30 minutes. If you can't do this, you are lying to yourself. 4) Gratitude journal. Write down 5 things you are grateful for every time you go to sleep, or when you wake up. Whichever you have a harder time dealing with. You can't expect to push yourself to do better if you loathe who you are as a person. 5) Learn some new recipes. I've seen this with most of my fat-loss clients. This issue was always present. They had very limited knowledge on cooking and what to actually eat. Buy a health cookbook and experiment! If you cannot spare the time to do these 5 things, I won't berate you. But at least pick 2 of them. Start with 2, and progress to more. Remember... baby steps.

Sometimes you have to put on your big boy / big girl and know when it's time to make a change. Don't wait until it's too late. "I'll start tomorrow" turns into "I'll start next Monday" turns into "I'll re-try on new years" turns into "as soon as I switch jobs and sell that old carpet I'll start".
