"Life Is Golden" was one of 2 experimental paintings that I made with Gold Leaf in conjunction with my Landscape oil painting style. I think it is also one of the rare times that I have ever painted a tree with no leaves! The painting is 12" x 36" and was listed at over $1,100. I am wide open to offers as usual. Here is a smaller abstract painting that I painted in 2006, it's titled, "Open Window". It is painted with Acrylics on canvas and is 16" x 16". As with all of my paintings I write a small blurb about what I am pondering as I paint them. This is what I wrote about "Open Window". Can you see your open windows of opportunity when they arrive? They may seem like they are only there for a fraction of a second or like they are a break in time, hanging nearly indefinitely on ...your choice. Take a chance and send your dreams through the window! This is not the time to admire the view. My paintings of this nature were typically sold for over $200 and I am again open to offers. As in my previous post I mentioned that I am downsizing and need to find homes for my art. This painting is called "Expectations" it is 23" x 32" and is painted on a plaster surface with Acrylics, Charcoal and Pastel. This piece was created as a favour to Alexis Thorpe of "Days Of Our Lives" fame. She supplied the photographs of herself for the portrait. It is one of the few times that I work from photos. If I am doing a portrait piece for someone that is generally the only c...ase... unless they have the time to come join me for a few hours so I can do it in person! I have more paintings than walls! We recently down-sized our inside space and up-sized our outside space.
