Docks are secured with ramps ashore. Last boat was hauled out today. Spent the sunset hours making repairs to wharf face and ensuring everything is secured for winter.

24hrs makes a difference with Maritime weather. Great high tide last night, calm skies with clear waters. Tonight....flurries.

The wharf construction contractor removed the steel wheel guard in order for it to be galvanized and reinstalled permanently. As a precaution we barricaded that end of the wharf to prevent any accidents. If anyone decides to walk or bike through the barricade please be careful. Thank you for sharing.

Please be advised that the wharf contractors will be back on site tomorrow, Thursday October 29th, to remove the steel wheel guards in order to have them galvanized and returned for final installation. As a result we will be blocking the wharf off to all vehicular access until such time that the wheel guards are put back in place. Thank you for your cooperation.

Another gut wrenching early morning wake up call to respond to a boat that was "nose heavy". After quickly deploying our pumps, a total sinking was averted. Before and after pictures show how a quick response with the right equipment brought the boat back to its waterline in no time. Let this serve as another reminder to ensure your batteries are charged, bilge are clean and pumps are functioning properly. Any floating debris in the bilge can wreak havoc on the entire bilge pump system. Just because our commercial season is over does not mean that you do not need to check in on your vessels. Boats should be hauled home soon. Be safe.
