Our 2 oldest Granddaughters taking a few moments to reminisce about their future without being able to run behind the counter and grab a free cookie....and a hug from Papa in the back....

The outpouring of support to our announcement a few days ago has truly been overwhelming and so much appreciated by all of us involved in this transition. I personally would like to bring my parents into this as well and thank them for the unbelievable groundwork they laid for me so many years ago when I entered the baking trade. They have been supportive in so many ways this post would not even allow me the space. I’ve had the privilege to work with my dad for 35 years an...d it has truly been remarkable in so many ways. Thank you Dad! And my Mom has been a rock for us as well with her many gifts and abilities that she has so freely given for so many years. Thank you Mom! As well, this journey would not have been possible without the amazing staff we have had during this time! Thank you Cindy Mesich, Darlene Brooks, Karen Iseminger, Christie Mesich, Sandy Speidel, Emily Speidel! You have been and continue to be amazing in every way possible. THANK YOU so very much for your tireless dedication to us as a family and especially to our customers. The friendly atmosphere in our store would not be the same without your ceaseless smiles and ever ready willingness to go above and beyond for so many. You will never be forgotten. We sure live in a Great Little Place here in Ladner that has opened its arms to us and our family bakery, namely the amazing support we have had from our dear customers who have been so faithful for so over the years. THANK YOU! Now we have 2 weeks left and this little bakeshop will be handed over to the very capable hands of Arthur and Angela Ferreira! We are super excited to see where this local business will be propelled to under their skill and leadership. Honoured and blessed beyond measure for this opportunity we have had , Ray and Lynette Beutel.

To All of Richlea Bakery’s Dearest Customers, On September 1, 2019, Richlea Bakery will be handed over to Angela and Arthur Ferreira. Angie became a journeyman baker here in Ladner where she was born and raised. Along with Art, they have raised their children, Dylan and Emma, in this community and participate in our Delta schools, volunteerism, community church and South Delta’s amateur sports. They are very excited for the opportunity to bake for and serve the fantastic peop...le of Ladner and South Delta. Please come by the bakery on Saturday August 31st to meet Angie and Art Ferreira and, just as importantly, to wish Ray and Lynette a fond farewell. Let us all come together and congratulate the Beutels, sending them off with our best wishes as they embark on a new journey! We all thank you for your past and present support and look forward to your future support as the Ferreira’s are determined to work hard to earn your patronage in this new era of Richlea Bakery.
