Last night, we held the final training of 2020. It was nice to see everyone training hard and putting this strange year to rest. So nice to have my Sensei and my Dad with us on the line last night. Today I dropped off our food bank donation. Many thanks to all who donated. The best of the season to all of you, no matter which Holiday you celebrate. ... Tonight's the night - we are back in full operation, after a month of being open under a pilot. We are welcoming back all current and former students - if you've been away for awhile, please PM me for details on how to either return in person or join us on our Zoom simulcast. Note - all classes must be booked in advance...we can't accept drop-ins at this point. We are operating under full Covid protocols. As a member in good standing of the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Associa...tion, we are operating under the strictest protocols to ensure the health and safety of our dojo family. Many thanks to all of my students who participated not only on Zoom, but in our pilot opening. Looking forward to seeing more and more of our students return to training.

We don’t train for tournaments, we use them to train. Covid has had an interesting impact on tournaments this year. Many have simply stopped altogether, while other leagues have embraced a virtual competition format for kata and weapons. Over the weekend, the WKC held its 2020 Virtual World Championships with competitors from 11 different countries giving their best in kata and weapons kata completion. ... Many congratulations to one of my longest serving students, Michael Stergios (33 years this year) on a great performance. Over the course of the pandemic, he found this tournament, put the work in and entered the unknown. 3rd Place, 42+ Traditional Kata. 4th Place, 42+ Traditional Weapons Well done! Consistent hard work pays off.

Many congratulations to this young lady on her Orange Belt grading. One of my young ones who worked hard on Zoom during the pandemic and has now returned to the dojo to continue her training. Well done!

Well...we are winding down August and heading into September. We are currently in the midst of our pilot opening with a small group of students. So far everything has gone well with our pilot, with Health and Safety protocols in place and being followed. As always, the Health and Safety of our students is of prime importance.... We are pleased to announce that we will be in a position to welcome back our entire dojo community as of Sept 8th. If you have been away during the pandemic and wish to return to classes, please PM me - we will provide the necessary information. (there are no drop ins - you must register for classes) Classes will all be simulcast on Zoom for those students that aren't ready to return to the dojo as yet. PM for more information.

Well, here we are in June now. Hopefully, everyone is healthy and continuing to make the best of the situation. While we have no firm date on a reopening date - we are well in planning stages for our eventual reopening date - please check your e-mail. If you didn't receive the e-mail, please PM me. In the meantime, our Zoom classes continue along on Tue/Thu/Fri at 7pm. We haven't had less than 20 people with us - and we've enjoyed visitors from Renfrew, Niagara and St. ...Thomas.
