More amazing memories! While we are in this pandemic our activities are different, but we are still going strong! And our development camp at Squeah can go ahead with everyone having their own private room and facilities! We are also going to be offering online only classes for ages 5-8! Please email [email protected] if interested. As these will be online we can change the schedule to meet needs. We are looking especially for home schoolers . The classes teach vocal technique, literacy and are supported with online rehearsal tracks to access any time!

Miss have these on a big scale! But we will be having them in small groups so we really get to know each other and parents get to know each other! We get to work with special guests like Paula!

Such a fabulous rehearsal! We serenaded citizens walking by to vote! Warming our hands with the fire and our hearts with the music! 3 part harmony in 2 rehearsals with these ladies. Working our body percussion and staying warm by the fire! Also working on our Silent Night ASL!!

Fond memories of past development camps! We are still planning special events like this in smaller numbers with covid safety protocols. Don't miss out on these special opportunities.

Ok Miss Heidi is in the van with tears rolling down her face for JOY!!!! First rehearsal! Seasoned singers and new singers combined! 1 singer on Zoom. Singers masks, distanced, outside, but united in spirit! Beautiful 3 part harmony on day 1 filling the neighborhood! We were singing "Bring Me a Little Water Sylvie" and I started thinking about how singing together is so good for the parched soul! Then we started working on Silent Night! We will be singing in German English and American Sign Language. Covid's got nothing on us! We just dig deeper and find our creative ways to rise above together and have fun!! It is not to late to get in on the fun! If you know 5 - 19 year olds who want to raise their voices, make friends and sing please email [email protected] or cal 604-723-4040.

You will see our Artistic Director, Heidi Epp on the stage of the Orpheum, playing the Taiko drum her father built for her, in this video. Her father passed away a few short months before this performance. He would have been so tickled. The same spring of this Festival, the RYHC went on tour to Richmond's sister city, Wakayama, Japan where they did an exchange with the Wakayama Children's Chorus. While these Festival's are not able to happen now, we know they will again! Now ...is the time for us to train holding these opportunities up as the Beacon's of Hope to help sustain us in these dark times! We are still planning on attending the World Choir Games in Belgium, 2021. We will also be celebrating our 20th Anniversary beginning the fall of 2021! So many great things to look forward to, not the least of which is the great choral music we can make together! Now is the time to get involved, develop your skill and talent, make great, lifelong friends and feel the hope we can generate together! Email or pm for more information on how you can join us. We are holding open auditions to join one of our choirs either in live rehearsal or on zoom! We have an exciting season of fun planned including body percussion, sign language and of course singing! We'll be enjoying some pop tunes as well as world music, helping us to build bridges during this challenging world experience! 11

We will be holding auditions this week! Although we will have to work in smaller groups and include online rehearsals, we can still have a lot of fun and keep growing! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10207811333382022&id=139721669429575

Now is the time to get involved with the RYHC! This year our choristers can participate with in-person rehearsals and/or via zoom! So geography is not an issue. Since we can not have traditional concerts at this time, we will be shifting our focus to a more relaxed rehearsal process that is still jam packed with fun and creativity, developing our voice and building friendships. We will find creative ways to share our progress and music in other ways as the changing environment allows.
