Here at Richview Manor, we continue to collaborate with our community partners to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents and staff. Today we were visited by Fiona and Vinnette from the Western York Region IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) Hub, for an educational session on Hand Hygiene and PPE The Western York Region IPAC Hub works in collaboration with Mackenzie Health, Public Health and the Ontario Health team to provide education and support for ...all the retirement homes, long term care homes, group homes and shelters within the hub. Their team reaches out to facilities on a weekly basis to identify any areas or ways they can be of support and make recommendations. One of our residents’ favourite pastimes here at Richview Manor is Monster Bingo! Every Wednesday, we provide a mid-week treat for our residents which is theme-based and delivered on a cart while our staff play music - making it a fun experience for all! This week was Wayback Wednesday and our residents got to enjoy popcorn and their favourite pop, which was delivered to their suites by our Life Enrichment staff! Here’s what one of our residents has to say about our exercise program, Life in Motion Here at Richview Manor, we understand and value the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle. In a one-to-one format with our Life Enrichment staff, residents have the opportunity to use the gym to exercise throughout the week We continue to follow all health and safety protocols for our programs, including sanitizing all equipment before and after use, and maintaining safe social distancing.
