Rick Hansen Secondary Alumni Network 09.11.2020

Congrats to our very own Ron Brown! This month's difference maker. If you ever wonder what the quintessential glue that holds a school together is, you need to look no further than Ron Brown. Ron has worked for the School District since 1992 and has been the daytime custodian at Rick Hansen Secondary for the last 16 years. Staff know they can count on Ron for whatever needs to be done at the school, as he goes above and beyond what is expected of him. Students love Ron becaus...e he knows where everything is and is more than willing to help them out; he never says no when someone needs something done. As a consummate gentleman and a great ambassador to the school, Ron’s commitment is never questioned as he comes to school every day in his Rick Hansen gear and he always make guests feel welcome. Ron will be retiring at the end of this school year and we all joke that this place will fall apart without him. Needless to say, Ron’s presence at the school will be sorely missed. Rick Hansen himself talks a lot about Difference Makers, our difference maker is definitely Ron Brown. http://hr.sd34.bc.ca/blog/ron-brown
