Health Tip #4 Don't Skip Breakfast Fiber in the morning means less hunger late in the afternoon, when you're most likely to feel tired and gorge yourself on sugar. My morning dose comes from steel-cut oatmeal, usually mixed with almonds and blackberries. An early start on eating also keeps your metabolism more active throughout the day; breakfast eaters are thinner than people who just rush out the door.

Health Tip # 3 - Starting Out If you resolved to be more active in 2017, the best advise I can provide is to start small. If you can commit to working out 3 x per week, then do that for 2-3 months. Reassess how you are feeling after this break-in period. You can add another day at this time if you feel up to it. No worries if you stick with 3. Remember the key is sustaining your activity over the long term...making this a part of your weekly routine forever! They need to be: Specific - (drink 6-8 glasses of water per day)... Measureable - (make note of each completed glass) Attainable - (what actions are necessary to achieve this goal i.e. new water bottle at your desk) Realistic - (Can this be achieved? - yes!
