Thank you to our courageous lock staff, Dylan Carbino, Marina Clark and Alexandra Dow at Lock 36 Newboro for their selfless bravery on August 7th, 2020. The trio of Parks Canada’s employees fought the growing inferno and saved the lives of two souls on board and their dog. This selfless act of bravery that these three young people undertook, to save the lives of strangers without a moment’s of hesitation is as Canadian as it gets. Congratulations on your nomination for Governor’s general medal of bravery. Parks Canada is proud to be able to call you team members.
