As we start a new year, we want to thank all our Rideau athletes and families for their continued support. We hope all your gymnastics dreams come true in 2021!

Mastering the uneven bars takes hard work, incredible upper-body strength, coordination, and the patience to perform skills over and over and over. But when you finally get a skill that you’ve worked months to achieve ... it really does feel like flying. Check out this video to see some of our WAG athletes soar!

We want to wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year even though we faced many challenges in 2020, we know that the year ahead is filled with promise. Stay strong, stay positive and we will see you soon!

Rideau Gymnastics joins the gymnastics community in mourning the loss of Oleksandr "Sasha" Zavadych. Sasha worked with many athletes in the Ottawa area and was a greatly respected coach we were honoured to host Sasha and his team this past March. We send our condolences to Sasha's friends, family, and to all those who had the privilege of working with him over the years.

Four of our coaches are nominees in the annual FACES Magazine Ottawa Awards in the gymnastics coach category. Today we want to congratulate Coach Feng Zha. Since arriving at Rideau two years ago, Coach Feng has made an incredible impact on our MAG program, building one of the strongest teams in the region with a coaching style that is second to none. He pushes our boys to be their very best and has coached our athletes all the way to national championships. We are so proud to have Coach Feng as part of our #RideauFamily and congratulate him on this well-deserved honour!

Gym+bubble=GYMBLE! These WAG athletes got together last weekend for their gymble class with Coach Wendy. Together as part of a social bubble, they were able to work on gymnastics safely with the same group and same coach each week. With the gym to themselves, they had no other contact with other athletes, allowing them to stay safely within their own social bubble.
