Position Overview Located in Kentville, Kings Point to Point Transit (KPPT) is a community-based, non-profit, organization, offering non-emergency, accessible transportation to all residents of Kings County. Although much of our transportation services are within Kings County, we also transport clients to Halifax and other parts of the Province as required. We are looking for part-time and full-time, professional drivers, with excellent interpersonal skills, and a warm demeanor. Driver responsibilities include regular cleaning and maintenance of vehicles, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, and managing payments. Along with making our clients feel welcome, you will be responsible for transporting both wheelchair and non-wheelchair clients in a responsible manner. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, by providing superior service. Requirements: Experience: Experience in transporting people 1 year or more Class 4 driving experience Knowledge of lift use and wheelchair maneuverability Certification: Valid Class 4 Driver’s License Valid CPR and 1st Aid Certification required; or willing to complete after hire. Job Duties and Skills: Must have outstanding customer service skills Basic knowledge of Kings County geographic service area Operate bus/van in safe, lawful, courteous and efficient manner Exercise judgement regarding day-to-day priorities and situations Ability to work independently and take personal responsibility for tasks and deadlines Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating respect and consideration for others Essential Skills: Computer literate, email and Google Maps Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form Complete vehicle inspections and trip sheets neatly and accurately Other Requirements: Clean Driver’s Abstract.
