All bookings will remain the same for Ride On Equine Therapy. I will not be taking on any kind of groups, but one on one with horses and owners just to ensure the safety of everyone. As it stands right now, any plans that were being made to travel to BC have been put on hold. When this all settles I will be sure to announce the travel dates. Stay safe out there everyone, and try to enjoy self isolation with your horses if you're able to! Please contact with any questions:...) Cheers Amber

As spring approaches we are all starting to get our horses conditioned and back into a riding routine. All to often we put our horses back to work after a long winter season, however we don't see any problems until they rear their ugly head! With one treatment you can benefit your four legged friend by: Increasing the blood flow to the muscle ... Enhance muscle tone Improve the circulation Increase range of motion help improve joint mobility Just to name a few of the benefits that come with one session. Regular maintenance can provide your horse with many benefits that do not have to be associated with an existing injury! If your horse is showing signs of any short striding, hollowing, not able to pick up a certain lead, attitude changes, or is showing any any kind of discomfort, it is a great idea to get a full assessment done! When a muscle becomes over worked or strained this can can stiffness but if left untreated can cause strain to the adjacent muscle tissue and like the domino effect will start to cause more and more issues or can cause more serious injuries to your horse. By catching these issues early we can avoid the further injuries from occurring and help the body balance itself back out Feel free to contact me to book your horse in for a full assessment and treatment. 780-686-9303 Happy trails

We have been on quite the journey with my patient, pitch! We have been working with him steadily. Everything from his nutrition, saddle fit, soft tissue and structural misalignments. It was like once we got ahead of one issue, he showed another that needed attention. With the issues he was dealing with, pitch started to compensate, causing many body structure/soft tissue problems, which led to him not using muscles that needed to be engaged for him to properly move. And rule... of thumb there, if you dont use em, you lose em ;) As you can see from the photos before treatment, his lumbar was tensed and raised, pitch had some restrictions within the spine and pelvis as well as some tension within the ribcage and abdomen, restricting his ability to give and bend. The muscles surrounding the pelvis were like a brick wall. And as we looked deeper into it, they were playing a huge part in the way they held the pelvis in the wrong angle! Im happy to say that today we FINALLY started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The work being done on him is starting to take and stay. Things fell back into proper placement, loosened tension within the spinal column and ribcage which helped the pelvis sit back to its normal functioning position. Now pitch will be on more of a rehabilitation schedule to help him engage himself properly, build up muscle fibers and strengthen the soft tissue around the skeletal structure to help support that as well. Hes feeling more comfortable, standing square, and has started to soften himself and engage his core when asked. Hes moving more free, lifting his limbs and reaching out while being asked to move. Seeing pitch moving more free and relaxed has made me feel accomplished in this journey. We have a bit more to go to ensure we build him back up, but were finally on the healing stretch. His owner has been amazing to work with and he is in great hands in her care, she should be proud. Starting my bookings for the new year and while the weather seems to be giving us a break from freezing! Contact me to set up an appointment for your horse to ensure they are functioning the way they should be or to help get rid of any tension or stress their body may be under.
