Tonight was the first step in a much bigger process, but with people who are passionate and willing to put in the time and effort, this will pay off and turn in...to something so much bigger! We had an amazing turnout, with representatives from different user groups, government, private and crown land reps, and so much creative and positive input, as well as collaboration! A BIG THANK YOU to those involved with getting things going and hosting this! Things are just getting started!! See more

HEADS UP EVERYONE! Please spread the word in the riding community! We recently spoke with one of our contacts at Mosaic Forest Management, and they have given us a heads up that they are going to be doing some harvesting around the coombs candy store region in the near future. We have attached a notice in this post, please adhere to the notices that will be posted in the area as well! They have made it very clear that they want to work with the local MTB community in regards ...to land access/land use agreements, and we have started to build a relationship with them around this in recent weeks. They will be trying their best to maintain public access on weekends, and will clear affected trails as best as possible post harvesting! Between October and November 2019, Mosaic Forest Management will be harvesting six small units in the vicinity of the Coombs Candy Store trails. Our team has designed these units to have minimal impact on trails, and where trails are within harvest units, they will be cleared after activities are complete. At Mosaic safety is our highest priority. Our employees and contractors abide by strict safety rules, and we expect private citizens as well to abide by our safety focus and respect our worksites by not entering any active areas. For your safety, and the safety of our employees and contractors, please adhere to posted advisory signs, which will indicate where trail closures exist, and whether trails can be used on weekends we are anticipating that trails will be open on weekends.

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having an awesome summer of riding! We will be meeting next week, august 28th at 6pm at coombs country candy store to gather input, brainstorm, and help get us on track for a land use agreement/sanctioning trails, look into options to better the cycling community etc. And to brighten the future for everyone that rides and future generations! The more people that can attend the better it is for everyone! We look forward to seeing you there!
