Sorry all, we have a groomer down at Chappell Creek. The trail will not be able to be groomed until later this week. 90 riders on the trail since last groom and no trail passes are required of course. With these freezing conditions, the trail should still be acceptable. Ride safe.

To all our friends who may be planning on playing in the snow over the next few days. Its currently winter armageddon in the valley bottom today. Strong northerly winds and heavy snowfall. Pair that to the last few days of fresh snow and alpine winds and you have a drastically pissed off snowpack. If you are planning on heading out to play, avoid avalanche terrain and just enjoy a very stormy day in the snow.... Lets play "meet the director" @tbielec is the general manager of the Bestwestern Plus Valemount and is a volunteer director on the #varda board. Tony is an active ski tourer and sled skier and most of all, a lover of all things #ridevalemount Today Tony dontated his time... lots of it.... to help shovel the roof on the #upperwestridge shelter....
