Snow could fall at a rate of up to 10cm an hour overnight, and we could see in excess of 75cm total. This weather will hit fast and hard, so stay put if you can. Check on your elderly neighbours, and those with small children. As always, hoping our linesmen and women, and all essential workers stay safe.
Well then..... If you need help tomorrow evening through Monday evening, feel free to reach out to Chris at 9029572620. He does have a list of existing clients, who are on a schedule, but he will get to you as soon as possible. Above all, stay safe
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather statement for all of Nova Scotia. Significant snowfall expected Sunday night. Total snowfall: 15 to 30 cm, pote...ntially higher. Maximum wind gusts: 80 km/h or higher. Locations: all of Nova Scotia. Time span: Sunday evening through to midday Monday. Remarks: Heavy snow will spread across Nova Scotia late in the day on Sunday with strong northeasterly winds developing overnight Sunday. There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track of the system, but widespread significant snowfall is likely.
As you can see, we're right on the cusp of 20-30cm and 30-40cm. Please stay home when it starts to get bad. There's nothing out there worth risking your safety and the safety of others for.
Well now, that's one way to bring in the year! Please remember: if you aren't on our plow list, but you ever feel like it's more than you can tackle, please feel free to text or call Chris at 902.957.2620 and we will try to accommodate you. We'd rather stay out longer than see someone injure themselves trying to push 25cm of snow. *Facebook messenger isn't a reliable way to contact us when Chris is actively plowing, as he can't be on Facebook, and I have two little honey badgers to look after
