COVID-19 TESTING: Due to resource availability, Ridgeview is unfortunately NOT able to assist with asymptomatic (meaning no COVID-19 related symptoms) testing. This includes baseline asymptomatic testing being sought by teachers, school staff, or students. We continue to be able to assist local patients who are presenting symptoms that may be related to COVID-19. Please call the clinic to arrange a phone consult with a physician. The physician will review your symptoms a...nd history, and let you know if you require testing. Testing may or may not be available same-day. Should you wish to arrange ASYMPTOMATIC testing, please contact 811, or check the Alberta Blue Cross website for a list of pharmacies that are able to offer this service.

Just a reminder that Ridgeview Medical will be closed on July 1 for a well-deserved Canada Day break! We would like to wish all of our patients and colleagues a safe and relaxing day. If you are celebrating with friends or family, please remember to check the Alberta Health guidelines regarding gatherings and cohorts! https://www.alberta.ca/restrictions-on-gatherings.aspx

An important reminder that although restrictions are easing, COVID-19 is still a risk in our community. While we are able to start bringing some patients back into the clinic for certain services, we must remain vigilant in ensuring we are protecting each other, our vulnerable population, and our health care professionals. If you are experiencing ANY symptoms that could be associated with COVID-19, please DO NOT attend the clinic in-person. Our phone lines continue to be ...busy with increased use, but if you are having trouble getting through, please continue to try and call rather than attend in person. Alternatively, you can call 811 to speak with a health professional directly. For those patients who have been screened over the phone and offered an in-person appointment, please be advised that masks are mandatory in clinic. If you do not have a mask of your own, our team will be happy to provide one at the time of your appointment. https://www.alberta.ca/prevent-the-spread.aspx

Due to COVID19 restrictions, Ridgeview Medical isn’t able to book meet and greet appointments at the moment, but we do have physicians accepting new patients, and we are happy to arrange ‘walk-in’ phone consults for those who may not have a family doctor!
