Unplugged and recharging. This year we worked our butts off to pivot and survive the storm. With that came a lot of stress, meal-skipping and putting my needs last on the list. I’ve spent the last few days off my phone, with my immediate family and focussed completely on myself and relaxation. My soul has needed this. I’m so grateful for this time to shed the year and come back to you in January refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s been nearly 6 years since I started my first business and officially over a decade since I joined the wedding industry. It has been incredible watching weddings transform, especially over the past year. If you’re just joining us, I’m Rikki - a wedding planner turned florist with an affinity for nature. I’m most inspired by unexpected imperfections in flowers and plants. I believe flowers should be loved and respected in all the stages of their lives, from bud... to decay, just as we must appreciate the natural cycles in our lives. My favourite part of running this business is the relationships I’ve built with clients and colleagues. Being social and engaging with you all lights up my life. Witnessing the joy and wonder that flowers bring to people’s lives fills my heart with gratitude. I love moments when I’m alone at the studio at the end of the day creating and designing something unique - passion projects, we can call them.
