UPDATE: WE WILL BE OPEN THURSDAY JUNE 11th. We are up and running, thank you to Doug and Cathy Gordon, as well as Ivan. If it weren't for your quick, conscientious and expert service, we could have not done this so quickly. Our temporary hours will be Monday to Friday 10 am to 3 pm. We will try this Saturday June 13th and see how that goes. We are asked by the health unit to open less hours for the time being so that we may have more time for cleaning and disinfecting. Our apologies for all of you who came to our door or called to place orders, sometimes stuff just happens that we have no control over, for that we are truly sorry. Here is to a fresh start tomorrow.

Our sincerest apologies, due to an equipment issue, we are unable to reopen today as planned. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time. We have a technician sourcing parts now . We will keep you posted. This has been such a big build up for us and truly a let down. Again, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

As the economy begins to reopen, we do as well, our target date being June 9th.We hope to hear the announcement this week of stage 2 reopening phase. We have been doing much preparation but still feel some nervous anxiety about what the "new way of doing business" will look like. As most of you know, we have always been cash only, we now have the ability to accept debit.To those of you who so generously purchased gift cards in support of us, we want you to know, you will receive priority.. We would like to thank you for your kindness as well as Kelly Bergeron (who initiated the program). We would also like to thank all of you for the many inquiries, it was welcoming and appreciated. On that note, if all goes well, hope to see you June 9th.

When you’re finally allowed to go out after the quarantine

Wishing all of you a Happy Easter, hoping everyone is staying safe. We continue to remain closed because we feel it necessary to do our part in encouraging people to stay home. We certainly miss the bakery, the people and the structure of going to the bakery everyday.This is not at all like a holiday. We continue to watch for updates and plan for a time when we can re open. We appreciate all of the messages of encouragement we have received. It is times like this we see our ...community come tegether in support of one another. We would like to thank Kelly Bergeron, who works tirelessly on Cornwall's gift certificate program. Kelly has had much success with this program, thanks to all of you who were able to support it. There are so many people doing kind gestures in our community. We are forever proud to be part of such a kind, loving and giving community. We sincerly hope that covid 19 will subside in the not too distant future so that we may be able to get back to work and see all your smiling faces once again. P.s. just missing it all See more

Riley's Bakery will be closed today and until further notice, in response to covid-19, we feel in good conscience this is the right thing to do. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but for the safety of all of us, we must do our part. We would like to thank the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to the Awards Banquet on Saturday. We also would like to thank those who nominated us for the Lifetime Achievement Award. We are so very honoured that Riley's Bakery recieved this award. We accepted this award on behalf of Wiilliam Riley(who opened Riley's Bakery in 1905) , George and Vincent Riley who continued to carry on the bakery and Jeanette and Bob Grant who took over Riley's around 1970. We purcha...sed Riley's in 1989,it has been our life since. We certainly take pride in the fact that Riley's is Cornwall's oldest bakery still operating. Riley's Bakery owes this to its customers, it is still here because of you!! We are ever so grateful to all of you who support us, you are carrying on a tradition for many and making new ones for others. To Peter Riley, you can be very proud of your great grandfathers legacy. Our hopes and dreams are that Riley's can continue on for another ten decades. We stand humbled and proud to be part of this history. See more

Riley’s bakery will be closed for holidays December 25 th and will re open Monday January 20th. As we believe, everyone knows family is very important to us, so we will be taking this time to spend with them. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.....but we will be back !!!! It is with heartfelt appreciation, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your kind and thoughtful words. In a difficult time, it is comforting to know, there are so many considerate people. Thank you again for your concern.
