Two years today since we lost our big boy. Moose loved to run away and he would not hesitate to bolt out the door and take off on an adventure. Fortunately for us, his escapes were often cut short by his uncontrollable need to pee on everything. All the trees posts and bushes had to claimed as his. These chases often left me frustrated, embarrassed and angry but as I lie here in bed with tears in my eyes, I wish I could do it again one more time. For as long as I can remember, my wife’s immediate family has lived far away. Edmonton, Illinois, Kansas, and Iceland. We are so accustomed to FaceTime conversations and not seeing everyone all the time that it makes the time we have together so special. Last year, we were lucky enough to have all of my in-laws in town for the holidays. This year is very different, but I’m thankful to have done awesome snap shots of the last time we were all together. This is my father-in-law... One year ago today I took these photos at the Candle Light Stroll in Niagara on the Lake. This is a Niagara Christmas tradition that my family has taken part in since I was a kid and something I hope my kids will enjoy for many years. Family traditions are so important especially this time of year and even more so in 2020.
