We will be open for business Monday May 4!!!! Emergency and Urgent Treatment will be provided. Regular check-ups and cleanings are expected to resume May 14 (Alberta’s Stage 1 Relaunch). ... We have been keeping a list of patients needing treatment and Shanna started calling them Friday afternoon to book them in for Monday. We are closed now for the weekend but will be open at 8am Monday. Thank you all for your patience. - Derek

The media is reporting dentists will be able to open next week. This is breaking news to me as well (no heads up at all from AB Dental Association & College) and will be dependent on official guidance and requirements for PPE and practice guidelines from the ADA&C which have not been released yet. Also of concern is the continued unavailability of PPE specifically N95 masks. I will let you all know when we will be reopen and in what capacity (emergency and/or urgent need ...for extractions, fillings, cleanings, etc) as soon as I know more. Thank you for your continued patience. Update: The Dental Association was also caught off guard by Gov’t announcement this afternoon. They have advised that they will have reopening guidelines released to Dentists by Monday May 4, and then we can plan our reopening. So unfortunately we will NOT be open Monday May 4, but will hopefully know more and can set a reopen date after we receive the guidelines. Will keep you posted. -Derek

Due to the COVID-19 virus it has been mandated that all dental offices cease elective treatment immediately. Nordstrom Dental in Rimbey will be re-scheduling all non-emergent dental treatment. We will remain open 5 days a week to answer your questions, reschedule your appointments, and provide phone consults and prescriptions if deemed appropriate. Nordstrom Dental is pleased to announce that Dr. Travis MacLean will be joining Dr. Nordstrom in Rimbey. Dr. MacLean is a native of Edson, Alberta and just completed his dental training at the University of Alberta. Dr. MacLean will be accepting new patients starting June 10. Dr. Nordstrom and Dr. MacLean will now be seeing patients 5 days per week at Nordstrom Dental in Rimbey.

There is a rumor that Nordstrom Dental is shutting down in two weeks. This is incorrect. We were closed down for two weeks as Dr Nordstrom was away on holidays but he is now back and we are open. And accepting new patients!!
