I’m sure everyone has questions about what is happening with gymnastics. For now, the board has decided to press pause on our gymnastics season until 2021. At that time we will know if we are able to continue on with our classes. If not, rest assured that you will get a refund for the classes missed due to being shut down.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*** We’ve decided to cancel gymnastics for the week as our coaches had contact with three others who just discovered they had contact with a positive covid case. We want to keep our gymnasts safe and avoid spreading anything if at all possible. At this point we hope to make the classes up on Monday’s/Friday’s and we will definitely keep you updated!! Hey guys! I have two things I wanted to share. So with our covid- 19 sheets, you only have to fill one out per session. So one session is a full 12 weeks. When that session is over, we will get you guys to sign another one. And!!! The chocolates, you guys will get for the fundraiser will be sent home with your kids this week! So be prepared to get ready and sell those. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us, and someone will have the answer for you!

Please remember to sign your session screening checklist before your child hits the floor! They were emailed out yesterday to everyone that I had registration forms for! There will be extras at the club if for some reason I couldn’t figure out some spellings on some emails! Thanks

The excitement is overwhelming!! Just a reminder that we will be calling parents, with in the week. Just to chat about what will go down on the first day, and confirm the classes your kids will be attending.

Hey guys! We have the final schedule for this gymnastics year, AND our final opening day is the 19th of October!! Yup you heard it here!!! THE 19TH OF OCTOBER,... we start our season officially. Down below will be our new schedule. Each parent with get a phone call by one of our coaching just making sure you understand that date and time of your child’s class. We can not wait to start and are so excited to see all your smiling faces!

Chocolate fundraiser Just to clarify for some parents that are confused, the money you make from the chocolate that you sell is yours to keep. You already paid us for the chocolate. So you sell the chocolate and keep the money.

We at the Rimbey Gymnastic Club want to thank you all that came out to the AGM lastnight. We hope you all understood our intentions and hopes for this gymnastic year! And if there is anymore question needed to be answered please feel free to ask away. Our amazing board is sure to have the right answer or our wonderful coaches. We have one last coach for us to introduce you to, and here she is!! Hey guys! My name is Bernadette Weiss, better known as Birdy. I am a busy mom of three little ones, and after taking a couple years off to raise my babies, I am super excited to be coming back to coach at the gym club! I was a former competitive gymnast with the Rimbey Gymnastics Club (Alena was one of my coaches!) and have now been a coach for four years. ... My favorite apparatus to coach is the uneven bars, and I enjoy continuing to train when we have a few spare minutes in the gym. I'm really looking forward to getting back in the gym and seeing all of our athletes again! See more

We have some more coaches we would like you guys to me. These girls are also returning from previous years! Hello Rimbey Gym Club, I am kristeena Meinema. I am a former gymnast that trained at the rimbey gym club since I was in preschool. I started as a Junior coach when I stop competing, so I have been coaching on and off from Rimbey and Lethbridge for about 8 year now and I am so happy to be back. Coaching is definitely one of my passions and to get the opportunity to do... it again in my house town and home gym makes it that much more remarkable. Being able to see these kids grow into amazing child with dreams and they want to learn new skills is what drives me. I would have to say the apparatus I love the most would be a tie between the floor and the uneven bar. There is so much beautiful in the flow that happen on this equipment. I can not wait to show you our new building and to start the new year! Hey! i am Chloe Greer and I'm a former gymnast that trained at the club for 6 years and now i have coached for 4 years! I am 16 now and have my level one coaching certification. I love coaching gymnastics because of the happy smiles i get to see and the new skills these girls learn. It also makes me into a better coach when girls come up to me for advice on a skill, or just about their life. The bond we share is my favourite. My favourite apparatus to coach would have to be the vault. I am soooo excited to get the girls back in the new gym and just see them on a normal basis, I miss them so much! They really are what makes coaching gymnastics so much fun.

We have a few words from our Beautiful returning head coach that she would like to share with everyone. We have three other coaches that will be joining us this year, and you will hear from them shortly. So watch for that post!! Welcome to the Rimbey Gymnastics Club! My name is Alena Rode, I am returning to my position as Head Coach of the Rimbey Gymnastics Club after taking the last two years off. I have been coaching gymnastics for 18 years, 16 of those with the Rimbey G...ymnastics Club, and 2 years with Exelta Gymnastics in Red Deer while I was attending college. I have two sons, age 10 and 13, with my youngest following in my footsteps of becoming an accomplished gymnast. I am passionate about this sport, it has been an integral part of my life from a very young age. I was trained as a competitive gymnast, but after becoming ill with meningitis at age 15, I could no longer compete and focused solely on coaching from that point on. I had a very special coach and mentor at that time in Cheryl Langmuir. I credit my success in this sport as an athlete, and later as a coach, wholly to her and the foundation she laid for our club. As a foundational sport, it is so important to me that all of our kids have a successful and inspiring experience with our gymnastics club. This season may look a bit different from previous years with new restrictions and protocols, but the excitement and enthusiasm that myself and the other coaches bring in to the gym give us a very positive outlook for the days ahead. We are all very much looking forward to seeing new faces and reconnecting with our returning athletes! See more

New location: 5121 44 th street, at old colllicut building. West Bay entrance. We wanted to say a big thank you to all parents, for your patience through this transition.. What the new building offers: Larger area for gym time on equipment, Two bathrooms (boys and girls), a large kitchen area, coaches... offices. A parent viewing room (with doors that close and viewing area.) Lots of storage. So we are super excited for all of you to come and see!! AGM MEETING ON: September 30th Wednesday at 7pm... We have been getting a great amount of interest in the new gymnastics season, so I wanted to pop on here again to share some more news. Thank you everyone for being very patient with us. We as a team and a board of the Rimbey Gymnastics Club are working very hard to get registration out there, so we can start our new season. As of right now we are just working on some small detail to make every perfect and safe for you guy to come back, due to Covid-19. It is coming very s...oon, so please be on the look out. Tell your friends or anyone interested, that we are back!! New and improved. I will be posting more in the upcoming weeks, so put those notifications on so you are ready! We are all very excited!!

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop on here and say we got the go ahead to start the season!! So please watch out for details about registration and such! If you have any questions please feel free to ask, and we will try our best to answer them all! Can’t wait to see you all again!

Gymnastics is done for the season - but you don’t have to be. Keep your littles moving by helping them practice their forward rolls, log rolls, skipping, balances, and of course - stretching! You can make your own balance beam using masking tape on the floor.

Due to restrictions in place from the novel Coronavirus, the Rimbey Gymnastics Board has made the decision to cancel the remainder of the season. We will also be cancelling drop in classes until further notice. The health and safety of our gymnasts and coaches is our priority. We hope to see you back next year!
