HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY RINGKONA FAMILY AND FRIENDS As I reflect back over 2019 I have to say it was a pretty good year. Not all chocolate bars and roses but for the most part pretty decent. Both Brooklyn and Dawson place 1st in their age divisions for the gymkhana season. The dog show season was just as good to use as well. BIS, Multi RBIS GCh Bianca's Brazosriver Tahoe RN finishes #2 German Shorthaired Pointer in Canada as well as # 2 Owner Handled, exclusively handled by ...Brooklyn with limited showing. They went to the Canadian Nationals and won and Award of Merit. He was only 354 points away from #1. The #1 GSP was out 22 weekends this year while Tahoe was only out 8. Tahoe is only 7 points away from his Grand Champion Excellent. Next year, Brooklyn's goal is to finish his Grand and start obedience with him. For the winter though, they will enjoy the dog sledding. GCh Ringkona's Slippery When Wet (Slip) was only out a couple of weekends and finished #13 Siberian in Canada and #4 Owner Handled. BPIS GCh Kristari's Jet at Aurorabalto with Ringkona finished #11 Siberian Husky, again with limited showing. Ch Snowledgend Ammo Brave Heart finished #6 Samoyed in Canada with limited showing and was only 5 points behind #5. In 2020 we are hoping to get down to the US for a weekend of shows down there. Here is hoping for another successful year in 2020.
From our house to yours, Merry Christmas
Home safe and sound from the PA dog show. Last show of the season for us. Just a quick recap of the weekend. Brooklyn and Tahoe won 3 Best of Breeds and a Grp 2. Not enough to pull him into #1 position but he is sitting very nicely in #2. BUT to put things in perspective the #1 GSP has been out 21 weekends this year and Tahoe has been out only 8 weeekends. Only 361 points separate the 2 of them. Not to shabby for a 12 yr old kid and her dog :) In my eyes, they are #1. Dawson ...handled a wonderful little boxer in Juniors and won 1st in his class. Brooklyn handled a cocker puppy and one 4th in her juniors class. She also showed the puppy in the breed show and put 3 (I think) points on her. Slip and I had a great weekend, taking 5 out of 6 Best of Breeds, a Select Dog, a Grp 1 and 2 Grp 4's. Slip was only out 2 weekends this year and this weekend jumped from #34 Siberian to # 14. Not to bad if I say so myself See more
