So, we're trying to roll with the ever changing Covid-19 situation and to try and make sure you're all taken care of, laundry-wise. So here's a couple of questions: 1) Would you use a pick-up and drop-off laundry service if it was available to you? ... 2) If you're a Gitga'at or a member of another Tsimshian Nation with a vehicle, are you interested in providing this service? Obviously we won't bother with the pick up/drop off if no one wants it BUT if enough people do then it looks to us like there's a part time in it for someone. Hi everyone! we are getting later into the year and we want to be more health conscious for the community since there have been more cases of Covid 19 in Rupert; as of Friday October 30th we are now making it mandatory for all to use masks when in the laundromat until further notice. Ok, pheuf...we dodged a real bullet last night and @Rinse Rupert Laundry was completely undamaged by last night's fire. We're very sorry that our neighbours along Second were not as lucky and are very glad that no one was hurt.

Announcement: Were happy to tell all our friends and neighbours that Rinse Rupert Laundry is getting ready to expand our opening hours in the next day or two. We also recently started accepting drop-off laundry as well. BUT, its important that you know that the other measures in place to protect the health and safety of our customers will continue until such time as weve put Covid in our rear view mirror. These include: restricting the number of people permitted in the l...aundromat at any given time; asking that people wait for their wash and dry cycles either outside or in Lee and Anns or one of the other great PR restaurants; and that you not come out to do your laundry or anything else really if youre not feeling well. Ok, here we go. The final results on the vote between Rinse Rupert Laundry and Gitga'at Laundry saw Rinse Rupert getting 53% of the votes and Gitga'at Laundry 47%. The people have spoken. Just so you all know, the FB poll app doesn't allow a user to vote more than once so there is no chance of someone voting 2 or more times, so the result is reliable. The first person to submit Rinse Rupert in the first phase of the naming contest was...Barb Hall Sampson!!! Well, we ended up in a very, very close result. So close that, if we consider counting errors because some people voted multiple times or gave a thumbs up multiple times, we're not sure which of the top 2 names won. So here's the plan, we're going to run a poll to choose between the top 2 finishers. Bad (not very) news, good news: Although the BC Government approved our use of the name "Spotless Laundry" it turns out that someone beat us to the name and we now have to create a new one, which is actually an opportunity to have some fun in choosing a new name.... We'd like all of you - our friends, family, and visitors to Rupert, to submit your best new name for Northern BC's only 100% First Nation (Gitga'at) owned Laundromat. We'll post a running list of names until September 15th at which point the winner, voted on by all our Facebook friends, will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Prince Rupert restaurant of their choice.
