Opening Friday the 13th. Fundraising for the Ripple Connection Support Centre. A huge thank you to all who have contributed so far. We have a lot to do yet but we are getting closer.

Still looking...... Hi Folks, The Ripple Connection is hoping to find a couple of regular volunteers who own a truck and an enclosed trailer to help us with our Garage Sale Fundraiser efforts. We are not looking for you to do any physical labour, only to provide a means of transportation to help us pick up items which are being donated to the Ripple Connection Support Centre and Garage Sale Fundraiser. ~**Advisory**~ The Ripple Connection Support Centre has been in contact with ONE case of Covid 19. An individual who joins us for our Warm your Heart lunch program developed symptoms on Monday, October 19, 2020. This person was tested on Tuesday and a Covid positive result came back late Thursday night. ... We have closed our centre until further notice. Our team all feel fine, we are not showing symptoms so far. We are being tested today and tomorrow. We are currently in self isolation until November 2, 2020. We ask that anyone who has visited our centre since our reopening on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, be tested, just to be on the safe side. We thank everyone for your understanding. A friendly reminder that The Ripple Connection membership fees are due. The cost is $10.00 per year. We ask that you renew or purchase yours soon. They will be valid from October of 2020 until November 1, 2021. Being a member will enable you to be part of the Ripple Community. You will be able to buy a meal card for $30.00 which gives you 10 meals. This works out to $3.00 a meal for members. We usually have a soup or salad, a warm lunch as well as coffee, tea or wate...r. Usually Gennie and the kitchen crew have a tasty dessert for you to enjoy as well. Please purchase your membership soon or buy one for someone who may be in need. HAPPY THANKSGIVING BARRHEAD AND FRIENDS The Ripple Connection Support Centre is thrilled to announce that we will be re-opening the centre on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. We will be offering a Turkey Dinner to our community on Tuesday, between 12-2 pm. Our "Warm Your Heart" lunch program will begin on Wednesday October 14, 2020. We have been granted permission to operate our Centre from Monday to Thursday each week. Our hours of operation will continue to be 10am to 4 pm. ... We hope to extend our days and hours in the future yet we are thankful to be able to open our doors on these days for the time being. We are feeling very thankful. Please bear with us as we adjust to new procedures and precautions. -We will ask everyone who enters to immediately sanitize their hands. -We then ask that people check out our new washrooms to give their hands a good wash before lunch service begins. -We remind everyone to sanitize or wash hands after coughing, sneezing or each trip to the washroom -We have expanded our drop in centre to double its original size. We invite everyone be mindful of social distancing as you choose your seat to eat in. We have space for cohorts of groups of 2-6 people and lots of space for people to eat individually or with their support staff. Please be mindful that we will be regulating how many people are in the centre at one time, throughout our lunch periods. We may have to ask you to wait or come back later until the early birds have eaten and finished their meals. The staff at the Ripple Connection will focus to keep things flowing smoothly so all is fair for everyone. Thank you all for you continued support and patience. 2020 has been a year many of us will not forget. We hope over this Thanksgiving weekend all can remember the great things in their lives. We have many things to be thankful for in this part of the world. We wish you a great holiday weekend. The Ripple Connection team
