Calling all caregivers! I know the last few months have been some of the hardest of our lives- as moms, as dads, as Albertans, as neighbours and as friends. So... much changed so quickly and, while parenting always involves a healthy dose of fear, we’ve encountered obstacles we didn’t realize we’d signed up for. From financial stress to knowing when it’s safe to do what, there’s a lot on our minds these days. That’s why I’m thrilled that next Monday evening at 7:00, I’ll be going live on Instagram with Dr. Jody Carrington. For those of you who aren’t already big fans, Dr. Carrington is a speaker, child psychologist and best-selling author of Kids These Days: A Game Plan for (Re)Connecting with Those we Teach, Lead and Love. Her expertise is on the power of being connected to one another and to our kids, and realizing that if we want our kids to be ok, we have to start with us- the people who hold them. She and I will talk a bit about the challenges of parenting and loving our kiddos through a pandemic and we’ll take questions from the livefeed as well. I hope you’ll join us! See more
