Sensei Matt Lamarre Karate Instructor and Vice-President Rising Sun Martial Arts Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) Shotokan Karate... Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) Chito-Ryu Karate Sensei (teacher) Lamarre began his studies of the Martial Arts in 1989 under Sensei Betty Hill at World Championship Karate. In 2018, he earned his Shodan (1st degree) Black Belt in Shotokan and Chito-Ryu Karate under Sensei André Durocher at Rising Sun Martial Arts. He has undertaken studies in the arts of Shotokan, Chito-Ryu and Okinawan Jundokan Goju-Ryu Karate. He is presently studying and working on obtaining his Nidan (2nd Degree) Black Belt in Shotokan and Chito-Ryu Karate. He is also working on obtaining his Shodan (1st Degree) Black Belt in Okinawan Jundokan Goju-Ryu Karate.

On January 7, 2018 we will be relocating our club to the CIH Arena's community hall (off Highway 174 in Rockland). Our classes will continue to be offered on Monday and Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Our last class at our current location will be on Wednesday December 19, 2018. We look forward to seeing you all in the new year at our new location.
