She is the first pony to greet us and has a wonderful temperament. Ruby is an excellent brood mare and is very strong and healthy. She would be an excellent kids pony with trai...ning or leadline pony. She's very easy to halter, lead, and catch and will follow you wherever you want to go. I would like to thank Lynda and Don Walker for selecting Rivendale Augustus or Gus for Lynda and their grandkids. Gus has always had a special place in our hearts as he is what a pony for kids looks like. We are absolutely thrilled that Gus is at home with Don and Lynda, a wonderful family that I know will love Gussie as much as we have. Gus was Jess's first pony and they held a special bond. Another beautiful day to spend outdoors! Pony training continued today. Morgan rode Rivendale Draco and I rode Rivendale Duke. After such a cold February so nice to see the snow melt. I'm really appreciating Morgan's help with ponies - I was able to break him away from the cows for the afternoon and he's my motivator!

Way to go Joss! Joss is one of our new pony owners and her mom, Jamie has been keeping us posted on the progress Joss is making with her new pony Roo (aka Rivendale Crystal). Joss and her nan, Carol have saddled, bridled, and trotted Roo. We're really proud of what Joss is accomplishing with Roo and love to have updates about our ponies and their new owners!

Three weeks after we gelded our stallion, Mi Higher Power this little sprite was born! Looks like Power had a secret rendezvous with Ginger last year. Pretty excited about our new filly!

I picked a windy day last weekend to do some pony training! Though even with the wind I was able to get lots accomplished with the herd. Rivendale Aragorn is a Half Welsh gelding.

I love this picture of Jess and Rivendale Dobbie! Jess was about 5 in the picture and now our young lady is 14. So hard to believe where the time has gone. It's a great picture of the love between a girl and her pony. Dobbie and a few of his siblings headed to Quebec after that picture was taken. Good memories.

It was a great week for training ponies at Rivendale Welsh! Jess and I started Gus under saddle and he's been ridden at a walk and trot. We both backed Lister and he handled it really well.

Rivendale Jane is a 3 year old Section D Welsh Cob pony out of Rivendale Eve (Nebo Calonog) by Mi Higher Power. Jane is available for sale. Update: Jane was purchased by Megan Rawn and is in training as a performance pony prospect. Keep an eye out for this stunning lady in Alberta!

Rivendale Duke is a Welsh cob gelding out of Eve. He is about 14hh and I've claimed him for me .

Two older fillies, Rivendale Ellowyn and Rivendale Gwen are both available for sale. Ellie is registered as Half Welsh and Gwen is a Section C out of Eve.

Here are our fillies, Rivendale Jane, Rivendale Brienne, and Gracie. The fillies have yet to shed their winter coats.
