Greetings Riverbend Campers, On Friday June 12th. Premier Ford announced that people living in most parts Ontario can belong to a social circle of up to 10 people. Below is a CBC summary. For the time being, a person can only be a part of one circle, in order to limit contact while still allowing individuals to see more of their family members or close contacts. Other provinces have referred to this as expanding social "bubbles," but the concept is essentially the same. Withi...n any given circle, social distancing measures are not necessary. Ford said that his government is trusting Ontarians to expand their social circles responsibly, and that enforcement by police and municipal bylaw officers will not be a priority. "The social circle police are not going to be knocking on your door. We're trusting people," he told reporters. The province says that to form a safe social circle, Ontarians should follow these simple steps: * Start with your current circle: the people you live with or who regularly come into your household. * Step 2: If your current circle is under 10 people, you can add members to your circle, including another household, family members or friends. * Step 3: Get agreement from everyone that they will join the circle. * Step 4: Keep your social circle safe. Maintain physical distancing with anyone outside of your circle. * Step 5: Be true to your social circle. No one should be part of more than one circle. The maximum size of social circles might expand in the coming weeks and months, Ford said. With all this in mind, Riverbend Park will allow guests starting this Friday. You will be responsible for choosing your guests in your circle. Your guests should stay on your site and social distance when not on your site. Who is considered a guest? Your site includes two adults and all their children or two grandchildren under 18 or over 18 and dependant because of a permanent disability. Everyone else is a guest. You must be present to have guests. Children under 18 cannot be left alone overnight. You must register your guests ahead of time. This can be done by sending me a text or email with their names and a contact phone number. There is a fee of $2.00 for an adult day visitor and $7.00 for an adult overnight guest. The fee for children is $1.00 or $3.00 for overnight. Please continue to social distance with anyone outside your circle. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Hello again Riverbend campers, I have been asked to clarify the rules around guests at the campground. The Ontario govt has extended the Emergency Corona virus orders until June 9th but will most likeIy extend them again. Although the rules are difficult to interpret for campgrounds, they make it clear that owners are responsible for enforcing them. I have checked with other campground owners who tell that they are doing exactly what we are doing. For some reason I seem to have met with some anonymous hostility over the no guest rules. Right now possibly having an extra 50 people including children here on a weekend would be irresponsible. I understand that these rules are difficult and will be happy to refund fees in full to anyone who would like to leave because of them. Some day things will get better.

Hello Riverbend Campers, Although it is not exactly camping as usual, I hope you can still enjoy your home away from home and the beautiful weather. Thank you for your efforts to social distance and keep your friends and neighbours safe. Please remember to keep it up. Ontario is seeing spikes in new cases and are postponing their next phase in re-opening other businesses. We don't want to give them reasons to close us down. We continue to be closed to weekenders, overnight ...campers and visitors. On Monday Waste Management forgot to empty our garbage bin and cannot come until next Monday. Please try to keep your trash to a minimum. We may have to put our truck out by the bin to take the extra garbage. Please remember to pay your lot fees before June 1st. After June 1st the lot fees increase by $200.00 and finance charges will apply. Please feel free to call, email or text to get your balance. Just had an ice cream cone at Scoops. Things will get better. Martin See more
