The Downtown BIA is now registered with Terracycle in North York Ontario and we are officially members of the Cigarette Waste Recycling Program. The butts are recycled and combined with other plastics and used for new plastic products such as ashtrays, shipping pallets or plastic lumber. I just have to figure out a way to dry the butts, they can't be shipped wet. Next! 5. Thankful - We live in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.
