#PinkShirtDay also known as Anti-Bullying Day is a day when people wear pink to symbolise a stand against bullying. Celebrated annually around the globe, Pink... Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, took a stand against homophobic bullying after a grade 10 student was harassed and threatened for wearing pink to school. Our theme for this year's Pink Shirt Day is Be Kind Always a simple but powerful message encouraging us to look beyond our differences and celebrate the things that make us unique. When we lift each other up with kindness, we see past the things that separate us and see instead the things that unite us as people. Being kind to each other costs absolutely nothing, but makes such a big difference in a persons day. This year Pink Shirt Day falls on February 24th. Sadly, with the provincial conditions we are unable to host our annual event at the store, which makes us all very sad. With that being said, we have decided to do a gift basket draw!
