From the day this mare arrived she has had my entire heart... As a 48 yr old women who is crawling her way through menopause, discovering the depths of grief with the recent loss of both parents, learning balance with 6 adult children & 6 grandchildren, running a busy ranch, health issues...etc etc. This mare was a gift I didn't know I needed..until she arrived. ... From the moment I led her off the trailer she looked right at me and her energy said " I get it and I got you." As women we have forgotten how important it is to be there for other women. Instead we spend so much time pointing fingers, gossiping, judging, shaming and trying to be better than each other..but none of us are perfect and no one is better than anyone. Time ... A lot of people have been reaching out about our Gelding Glow Up Package that currently has 2 geldings available to purchase. But when they hear that the time and training has to be put into the boys they often answer back with " Well I wanted something right now, or right away" ... Right now and right away is not what we would consider a "custom trained horse". Our goal at River Lane Ranch with training horses is to create Gypsies that are specific to their new owners needs. We want to make sure we have a soulmate match that will last a lifetime. Guapo (the horse in the photo's with this post) is going to a home where his new owners have told us they will often trail ride and take pack trips with several horses to the mountains. If they need to break a branch off a tree and use him as a ladder, or if he should happen to walk into bushes so thick he can't see ahead of him, or if the wind picks up so high that the world blows around him, or if the owner should have to climb beneath him for any reason on the side of a cliff (yes we have heard from many on the trails this has happened) then Guapo has been custom trained specifically for them to do this...along with so much more! Geldings are so important to those owners who don't want to breed and may like to show for fun, go on the trails, be safe at home, pass them down to children or grandchildren, get over a fear of riding and have the safest mount they could possibly have ...but those horses take time to create a solid foundation and require dedicated experienced trainers to make that happen. If you're wanting an extremely well trained, safe, reliable, secure gelding to spend a lifetime with...we have 2 boys who are a part of our Gelding Glow Up Package and that can be custom trained just for you.
