HOME Often we talk about how much we love our region of BC. The mountains, the lakes and rivers, the friendly, supportive people and the small town vibes we all hold so dear in the Koots. But for a moment we want to love on our home town of Grand Forks - capital of Sunshine and Borscht (as the sign use to say) a place where people come to Settle Down. ( the sign said that for a bit too ) ... The love we have felt from makers and supporters has been unbelievable and we are forever grateful - but there is a little pocket of small town folk who we need to send an extra special thank you too. Our fellow Grand Forkians - our town. The immense amount of support you have had for our little business over the last 2 years - and even before when we were just mama's making stuff for farmers markets - surpasses all expectations every year. We would not be here if it wasn't for the people of Grand Forks. The people who band together when times are tough, who encourage and relish in each others successes. The people of Grand Forks inspire us to continue to create for locals by locals - they're the reason our mission is #makersnuturingmakers. We love our small town. We love that our kids get to grow up with fresh air, forests and friends. We love the friendly people and businesses that are always supporting and encouraging one another. We love that when one falls, there is a community to back them up. Grand Forks is a special place, filled with amazing and eclectic people. The @boardroomcafebc Boxes have been shipped! And tomorrow is the day for our locals to pick up their Winter Solstice Boxes at The Boardroom Cafe downtown on Market! We wanted to shed some light on this very special local spot - Savanna and her team have created a welcoming and cozy nook for patrons to enjoy delicious hot drinks, tasty food and laugh over a good ol'fashioned board game. The Boardroom has also played host to all of our local pick up parties. Where we usua...lly get to see your lovely faces, share a drink and some delicious food. This year is different, but when it comes to supporting local businesses this year is the most important.
