Families are adjusting to so many changes during this uncertain time. Parents are balancing work obligations, overseeing home schooling, trying to stay connected at a distance, and many are placing unrealistic expectations on themselves to balance it all perfectly! As Food Banks across the province have been designated an ESSENTIAL SERVICE, we want to assure you that we will continue to feed all children, families, seniors... and individuals in need in our community. The Hope Food Bank will be open Wednesday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 8th from 10:00 until 2:00 at the Northwest Harvest Church building, 888 Third Avenue. We will be providing a bagged lunch, pre-packaged hampers, bagged produce and bread products. We will continue to provide bagged lunches, produce and bread products every Wednesday for the remainder of April. We will also be having a special FAMILIES ONLY FOOD BANK DAY on Monday, April 27 from 11:00 1:00. Families with children can access both a regular food bank day and the Families Only day. In addition to bagged lunches, pre-packaged hampers, and bagged produce, diapers, baby food and baby supplies will be available upon request. We will also be handing out resources (books, activities, etc.) for parents and their children. In order to create a safe environment, we will be implementing physical distancing practices (2 metres), hand sanitizing and serving one participant at a time in the building. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these extraordinary times! #weareinthistogether #hopefoodbank #hopecommunityservices
