Embrace the wild and get dirty! Riverside Retreat has unserviced sites available! As with many unserviced campgrounds, we do not have flush toilets, showers or potable water. We are working to bring modern day comforts to the campground, but these things are a slow process. Hopefully by the end of summer we'll be able to offer our campers electric RV sites, flush toilets and hot showers... but until that happens, put a ball cap on, embrace the campfire perfume, and just remember "camp hair don't care"

Office and shower building are in place, (I got excited seeing the poles installed and was a bit optimistic) now we continue to wait on NS Power. Going to be a bitter-sweet day when power Is finally brought down as so many guests have said ‘this is exactly what we needed, unplug/unwind and get back to basics for a bit’. However, I’m certainly looking forward to having power available for guests and having nice clean washroom & shower facilities available along with concession items, snacks, ice cream, etc. PLUS!! All my commercial outdoor JBL Audio equipment can be put to the test.

Well, after almost a year we finally have power being brought down to the campground.

Perfect way to spend Canada Day. We have four new tenting areas complete, fire pits & picnic tables installed. Time to cool off. This little 250’ stretch of ‘beach’ at Riverside Retreat is perfect for the kids. Nice and shallow along the beach for wadding, 3-4’ deep along the rear banks for the older braver kids and adults. No current, lots of sand for our infant to eat, warm fresh clean water. Kids already found a toad and two fish. God I love this place.
