Riverside Music has the space to offer a safer lesson environment for each student. Instruction is no longer in the tiny 10x12 rooms. Under the new set-up, the SMALLEST teaching area is 255 square feet! We have consulted with the Health Unit and the provincial health guidelines to make our environment much safer. Feel free to ask us directly for more details. In the meantime, NOW is the time to set up lessons for the fall schedule. We have opening available for all instruments, and an amazing line-up of instructors eager to get started. Contact Jason at 613-394-4891 or [email protected] today to get registered. Riverside Music continues to be Quinte's Community Centre for Music and the Arts!
I have noticed that many publications and businesses have gone straight to Hallowe'en this year, skipping over Thanksgiving entirely. For all our challenges, for all our difficulties, it seems to me that celebrating Thanksgiving is perhaps more important this year than any other in recent memory. There is SO much to be thankful for, if we'll just turn around and look at the positive side of things. Do you have any loved ones at all? Do you have any friends? Do you have ...any shelter? Do you have any food? Do you have employment? Is there a nice place you like to walk? Do you have enough health to get around and function? Is there good music in your life? Did you let the sun shine on your face recently? Many people will say "no" to one or two of these things, but Thanksgiving is about focusing on the good things we DO have! We are a music store business with our share of challenges, but we have amazing support from dozens of families, a fine facility with plenty of space to offer a wide variety of programs, a building manager and building owner who try their best to help us, a DBIA and Chamber of Commerce who assist the whole community as best they can, and students who try to improve each and every week, proudly demonstrating their growing skills. What a pleasure to help them grow! I am encouraging readers to be thankful in their own situation, and businesses to hold off on the Hallowe'en decor. We need the vegetable display with the bale of hay and the horn of plenty more than ever. Give thanks, with a grateful heart! See more
