Warning! Lengthy Covid-19 Update ahead! As you are all aware, Ontario is moving into stage 3 of the Province's re-opening plan on Friday, July 17. Here's the long awaited update on how that will affect us here at Riverside. Our apologies for not posting an earlier update, we've been waiting for guidance and clarification from the local Public Health Unit, to ensure we are keeping Riverside a safe space during this pandemic. We will be commencing with our Friday Night Bonfire ...as of July 17. Physical distancing measures remain in place. We will also be resuming our Saturday Night Theme Dances in our outdoor Pavilion as of July 18. We have done a slight tweak to the Calendar, and our first theme will be "Construction Zone" as we tip our Construction Hat to a newly constructed event season! Again, physical distancing measures are in place, unless you are with someone in your social circle (up to 10 people). Public Health Officials also strongly recommend using a mask or a face covering (non-medical mask such as a cloth mask or Bandana for instance) to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 when physical distancing and keeping two-metres’ distance from others may be challenging or not possible. Due to the restrictions on Buffet style meal service still in place, we will not be resuming our Wednesday Pot-Lucks or our Sunday morning Coffee Club at this time. In order to ensure physical distancing & capacity measures, and for health and safety reasons, we will be keeping current restrictions in place for the shower house, the pool, and for waste management. We’re having a heat wave... a tropical heat wave... Very grateful to be out here in the country, with lots of shade, and access to the pool and the river. This summer will be one for the record books I think.
