December has been a busy month at the RiverView Community!! Our Clubroom is becoming a real treasure!! We kicked the month by hosting a Cooking Class with Jody Lyons. He (patiently) taught us the secret behind a good Risotto, tasty Cornish Hens and to die for Brussels Sprouts!! We had a full house and thoroughly enjoyed the evening with RiverView Owners And good friends. We enjoyed Jody so much we had him back for our own RiverView Christmas evening - Fresh Baked Bread wit...h Hummus and Roasted Red Pepper Dip - Veggie Platter with Garlic Balsamic Dip - Chocolate Truffles - Phyllo Cups with Chive Cream Cheese and Candied Salmon - Shrimp Saltimbocca with Stromboli Dip - Mushroom Bruschetta with Chives and Parmesan - Pizzettes Margarita - Potato Cakes topped with Braised Short Rib, Caramelized Onion, and Gruyere Cheese To ensure this good food doesnt get the best of our figures, we spend twice a week with the incredible Brittany Woitowicz whos a certified Exercise Physiologist. These Piyo classes are a mix between Pilates and Yoga! We love the classes so much we went from once to twice a week!! The 1st Annual Christmas Show, held on November 23rd in the RiverView Condos Clubroom, was well attended ! Local vendors, included Kirsten Thirty One - Leanne ...Delaurier -Norwex -Cyndi Miles Designs -The Mushroom Patch -North Country Grains -Hannys Hobbie. We had some amazing Christmas treats, especially made by Brenda Deneer (amazing). Thank-you to all who supported this event! And The Winner IS.... A huge contgrats to Faye Horkoff, who won the Ladies Wellness Package draw. Tickets for this package were sold through the month of December, starting with this show, helped raise funds towards the local ALONE AT CHRISTMAS Dinner. A grand total of $450 was donated. Thank-you to all who supported this fundraiser.
