A quick update on the latest from PM and Minister of Finance. Wage subsidy raised to 75% (but scarce on details). No mention if the per employee amount of $1...,375 will also change. Minister of Finance just mentioned that the limit is still $25,000 per employer. The wage subsides are now backdated to Sunday, March 15, 2020 (was previously March 18, 2020) GST and HST as well as duties and taxes on imports will be deferred until June. A guarantee bank loan program of up to $40,000 for small business which will be interest free for the first year under certain conditions up to $10,000 could be non-repayable PM and Minister of Finance have said details are to follow between now and Monday. Bank of Canada prime rate lowered 0.50% to 0.25%.
