There is some maintenance being done on the water lines today. You may notice some cloudiness or discolouration in the water and possible pressure issues. This should disappear within 24 hours. The water is safe for consumption.

Christmas is here! As we celebrate Christmas this year and approach the dawn of a new year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge this wonderful community we live in. 2020 has been an interesting year to say the least. I hate to even bring it up as I know we are all sick of hearing it, but Covid-19 definitely threw some obstacles in our path. Headingley has always been a fantastic community to be a part of, but this year, I have to say you really turned it up a notch. Colle...ctively, we pulled together and found the good when it was not always easy to do. The business community stepped up and helped residents that needed help. And in turn the community returned the favor by supporting local business. Many of our local groups like the Headingley Community Foundation, Phoenix Rec Association, Headingley Historical Society, Headingley Fire& Rescue, MacDonald Headingley Rec District, The Headingley Library, the Daycare, and many more really found ways to make the year as fun and as normal as possible. Speaking of fun, I feel it is necessary to send a special mention out to Marian Templeton, she has organized some really fun activities throughout 2020 to keep us upbeat and connected as a community. Thank you Marian for your dedication to our community and for keeping us busy! I would also like to thank our Municipal Staff, you truly are the best there is. You have kept our community running smoothly and made the necessary adjustments numerous times as new Health Orders were given. You have found ways to keep each other and our community safe while keeping things as normal as possible. Thank you, Most important, on behalf of all of us, I would like to thank those essential and front line workers who work to keep us safe and keep us going. So thank you to the workers in healthcare, doctors & nurses, first responders and firefighters, daycare staff, truck drivers, and the many other workers & volunteers who put themselves at risk to keep us safe. It is impossible to mention everybody who contributed to making this year a success, and that is because it was a community effort. Thank you all for being you! I am grateful to call Headingley my home. On behalf of the R.M. of Headingley Council, I want to thank you all for making 2020 a great year! May 2021 bring us all many reasons to celebrate and get together with loved ones and friends. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas & Happy New year!
