UPDATE- Lougheed now open in both directions. Police are assisting Maple Ridge Fire in the 216th and Lougheed Hwy area. Fire hydrants are located on the opposite side of the highway and, to support and protect Fire equipment, Lougheed will remain closed until MR Fire has safely completed their duties. Please plan an alternate route.

Police confirm we responded to a report of shots fired in the 27400 block area of 110 ave this afternoon. This is an isolated incident as all parties are known to each other. One man is in custody and there are no injuries. No further threats to public safety.
