Remembering David Dressler It is with regret that we announce the passing of David Dressler. David started into the Massage Therapy profession at CCMH in Sutton West, Ontario in 1981 and lived and breathed Massage Therapy up until his death. David loved to write and discover. He developed and studied a light touch massage therapy technique and later offered the technique as a CMTBC accredited Continuing Education Course. He also wrote short essays on life, love and the world ...beyond our skins. Before becoming an RMT, David was a modern and improvisational dancer. Dance was the utmost importance to him, and he danced from the heart. Movement was his expression of Life Energy. He went into Massage Therapy because it also involved movement and helped people move better, and it also paid better than dance. Dance was his passion. David was also a Star Trek fan and a person who lived a very spartan private personal life. He was also a tenacious advocate for the law and conducted his practice by the book. David’s overwhelming sense of justice compelled his work on many AGM motions, and kept both the RMTBC and the CMTBC on their toes. David passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 after a painful and debilitating battle with cancer. Our condolences go out to his many friends, family and colleagues.
