The overall winners of each distance of our TT series will receive a hand-crafted trophy inspired by the cannons at Fort Anne in Annapolis Royal. There are three distances: 30k, 20k, and 10k. Each is represented by a different sized golden cannonball. Fun fact, the black colour of the base was created by applying an iron-rich solution for a truly representative finish!... #roadentscompetitivecycling #awards #timetrial #cannon #fortanne #oak #woodturning #segmented #ironacetate See more

Concluding the final TT of the series, there will be a brief award presentation recognizing the leader of each distance category. The current standings are as f...ollows: 30 KILOMETRES 14 - Brad Rowter 5 - Dimas Mateos 4 - Jon Hilder 3 - Scott Dickey 3 - Simon Ouellet 3 - Greg Young 2 - Oliver Hill 1 - Jean Lambert 1 - Fischer Houser 0 - Dana Birch 20 KILOMETRES 7 - Colin Edwards 7 - Dimas Mateos 3 - Brian MacEachern 3 - Neil Groenveld 2 - Jon Hilder 2 - Greg Young 1 - Parker Rowter 1 - Mark Briner 1 - Gabriel Graves 10 KILOMETRES 2 - Jon Hilder 1 - Parker Rowter 1 - Xianrui Zhang Points formula is P = n - r + 1, where "P" is points earned, "n" is the number of participants at an event racing the same distance, and "r" is the final ranking. In case of ties, the first tiebreaker is ordering based on number of events attended from least to most. The second tiebreaker is ordering by raw times from fastest to slowest.

Remember the delicious Curried Quinoa and Fruit Salad served at some of our events? Martha would like to share the recipe so you can make some at home. Ingredients: 2 cups water 1 cup quinoa... 1 dried celery stalk 1 cup seedless grape halves 1 cup fresh diced pineapple 1/2 cup minced red pepper 1/3 cup olive oil 1/4 cup dried cranberries 1/4 cup almonds 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp curry powder 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup minced red onion (optional) Pineapple juice (optional) Quinoa pasta (optional) 1. Combine the quinoa, water, curry powder and salt in a small heavy pot. Bring to a boil, cover, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for another 20 min. 2. Turn off the heat and let rest while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. 3. In a large bowl combine the celery, red onion, red pepper, grapes, pineapple, cranberries and almonds. 4. In a small jar, wisk oil and lemon juice until smooth. 5. When the quinoa has cooked (you can spread it out an a tray to speed up the process) crumble it into the bowl and add the dressing. 6. Toss gently to combine. 7. Taste test. 8. Add a little more lemon or pineapple juice to suit your taste. #Recipe #Quinoa #Curry #Fruit #RoadentsCC #Cycling #Food #Ingredients
