Phoenix This was a 22,000+lb stump/rootball I had dug out with a big excavator, that was originally planted in 1861. A 100 ton crane lifted it onto a farm float & then followed to my home/studio & unloaded it here. Laura & I spent 7 days digging, drilling & pressure washing it down to clean it then we sculpted a large Phoenix, rising out of the flames out of it. The trunk of this huge hard Maple became the EOS Sasquatch at Summers Hardware on Hamilton Road. I hope you enjoy!

Robbins Amazing Art Presents a four day Introduction to the Art of Chainsaw Sculpture course Instructors Robbin & Laura Wenzoski Date July 23rd through to July26th... Location Robbins Amazing Art studio 19361 Bury Rd. Muirkirk, Ontario, Canada Cost - $1200 + HST Cost includes the use of chainsaws, log(s), gas/oil, power carving tools, food & lodging. Students must have their own appropriate PPE equipment including, chaps or cutting pants, steel toed foot-ware, safety glasses, hearing protection & anti-vibration gloves. This course is for the persons serious about learning or furthering their skills & knowledge of the art of chainsaw sculpture. I will be following the course outline that I have been teaching over the last 9 years at the Haliburton School of the Arts & has proven to supply the skills necessary to prepare a person to safely, be creative with a carving chainsaw. We will be scheduling Intermediate & Advanced Chainsaw Sculpture courses & if there is interest in this we can schedule these courses directly following the Introduction course for those wanting to take advantage of attending more in depth & larger projects.
